URGENT: ACTION TO PREVENT EHV-1 SPREAD

Effective immediately, all equine events are suspended until November 28th. We acknowledge the severity of this EHV-1 strain and our collective duty to protect the health of our horses and community.

Out of extreme caution, all events through November 27th are canceled. This essential hiatus provides time for conditions to stabilize, for everyone to implement necessary biosecurity measures, and to accurately distinguish factual information from social media speculation.

Exhibitors must familiarize themselves with the new Arizona Interstate Certificates of Veterinary Inspection (ICVI) Health requirements. Individuals exposed to horses linked to the confirmed site must remain quarantined and adhere to veterinary instructions before any travel or competition. We urge all participants to maintain vigilance: monitor temperatures, prevent horses from commingling, avoid sharing equipment, sanitize stalls and tack, and immediately isolate any horse exhibiting signs of sickness.

This industry is supported by the equine athletes we are dedicated to protecting. The next 8–10 days are crucial for collaborative efforts to slow the transmission and secure the continuation of planned large-scale winter events.

Our deepest sympathies are with those currently impacted by the EHV-1 strain. We will issue further updates as necessary.
